About the authors
Dr. Amani Hamad co-authored this module while she was a post-doctoral fellow at the George and Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation in the Department of Community Health Sciences, Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. She completed her PhD in 2019 at the University of Manitoba in the College of Pharmacy in the area of pharmacoepidemiology using administrative databases. Dr. Hamad has expertise in pharmacoepidemiology, maternal and child health, multigenerational health research, and administrative database studies.
Naomi Hamm co-authored this module while she was a PhD candidate with a concentration in epidemiology methods at the University of Manitoba’s Department of Community Health Sciences. Naomi is also a trainee of the Visual and Automated Data Analytics Training Program (VADA), where her research focuses on developing and applying new methods for identifying chronic disease incidence within health databases. Through this program, she completed an internship with the CNODES Manitoba Site Lead Dr. Dan Chateau.
